This is an update to the original Blog Post on Oct 08, 2024. This update includes an updated Javascript File (After Effects Script File). This update improves compatibility across different versions of Adobe After Effects.

Creating or updating a Drop Menu is a pain in the regular UI. So, here's a Quality of Life (QoL) upgrade for you.
This script was written almost entirely by ChatGPT. My Advanced After Effects course covers the use of Advanced Expressions and we go through using ChatGPT often and have a 2-hour track set aside to rough it out with ChatGPT for writing and editing After Effects Expressions as well as writing QoL Scripts for use in AE.
